Centurion Health Re-Awarded Correctional Healthcare Contract In New Hampshire

Centurion Corporation (NYSE: CNC) announced today that the New Hampshire Department of Corrections has re-awarded Centurion of New Hampshire, LLC (“Centurion”) a contract to continue the provision of medical and dental staff to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.

The contract is expected to commence July 1, 2018, with a base term of four years, plus two optional years to renew. The contract was originally held by MHM Services, Inc. (MHM), which has since been acquired by Centurion. Under the contract, Centurion will provide medical and dental professionals on site at New Hampshire state prison facilities. The New Hampshire Department of Corrections operates three state prison facilities, three transitional housing units, a forensic unit, and a secure psychiatric unit with an average daily population of approximately 2,500 inmates. “Centurion brings high-level medical and dental resources to the correctional healthcare market,” said Steven H. Wheeler, CEO of Centurion. “We are proud to continue delivering on our promise to provide responsible and cost-effective care in New Hampshire.” Centurion has been serving low income individuals in New Hampshire since 2013 through its subsidiary, NH Healthy Families, a Medicaid managed care company.
